Zakat Calculator: Your Complete Guide to Calculating Zakat on Wealth
Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, obligatory on every Muslim whose wealth reaches the nisab threshold and has been held for one lunar year. Our free Zakat calculator helps you determine exactly how much Zakat you owe — instantly and accurately.
How is Zakat Calculated?
Formula:
Zakat = Net Zakatable Wealth × 2.5%
Only applies when Net Zakatable Wealth ≥ Nisab (85g gold)
Example: If your total assets are SAR 115,000 and debts are SAR 10,000:
Net Wealth = 115,000 − 10,000 = SAR 105,000
Zakat = 105,000 × 2.5% = SAR 2,625
